Robotics now has a dedicated workspace within Whitewater High School! In the fall of 2016, Ferradermis was formed and began working at the local makerspace. By the end of the 2017 season, the team had moved permanently into the high school, but had nothing but a small closet to call their own. Over time, that space grew to two closets and the occasional use of a small gym for practice. In the fall of 2022, for the first time, Ferradermis was granted its own dedicated workspace – an empty classroom in the building.

The classroom, complete with two side offices and a closet, is large enough for half of a practice field. Thanks to one of our long-time sponsors, HSI Rentals, the room has been carpeted, and thanks to our district maintenance staff, a portion of the drop ceiling has been removed to uncover an extra 6 feet of open space for practice with tall field elements.
