Ferradermis has helped start 4 FIRST LEGO League teams within the Whitewater Community
FIRST Lego League consists of students in elementary school and middle school working together to build and program a LEGO EV3 robot that moves autonomously to complete tasks on a challenge board to score points. The program also puts a heavy emphasis on building teamwork between students, as well as teaching valuable R&D skills as students are asked to research and create a solution for real world problems.
Ferradermis has worked with Washington Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Lakeview Elementary, and Whitewater Middle School to not only help start FIRST LEGO League teams, but provide hands-on mentorship for these younger students as well
